ScamCheck exists for one reason: South Africans deserve a calm second opinion before money, identity or trust is handed over. Screenshots flood family groups every day, and each one carries the same question: is this real? ScamCheck was built to answer that question in plain language, without jargon, panic or a bill at the end.

Your privacy
Your information is private.
Anonymous checks
When you check something without an account, we do not store the message, screenshot or link you submitted. We keep only the category, the risk result and the date, so we can count free checks and improve scam coverage. Delete the record any time from the result screen.
Optional account
When you create an account, your checks are saved so you can see history in My Checks. Each check can be permanently deleted.
AI processing
To analyse your submission, its content is sent to an AI service through our protected gateway and processed temporarily. It is not used for advertising. We do not sell your data.
Reports
If you report a scam, the information you give is stored so it can be reviewed and used to improve guidance. Reports are not sent to the police by us.
Rates free checks used
We count how many checks your browser has used this month to enforce the free limit. That counter contains no content.
What ScamCheck is not
- It is not a guarantee. A result is an assessment, and even a careful one can miss something.
- It is not a bank, a lawyer or the police. Money and legal decisions belong with a registered professional.
- It never asks you for a password, a PIN, an OTP or banking details. Anyone who does, no matter how convincing, is not ScamCheck.
- It does not trade in fear. We do not claim something is “definitely” a scam unless strong independent evidence supports the verdict.
Pricing
Premium is billed monthly at R84.99 or yearly at R950. Cancel any time from the “Cancel subscription” button above.
ScamCheck will never ask you to pay a fee or bill through a message, email or link. If something claims to be ScamCheck and asks for payment, it did not come from us.
